Finally I can live till 2012

My life, that is a pity life of me to struggle across over the years. I've never thought I have my life till today. I hope that the year of 2012 is the great year to update my life more and more to make change my life as well as people around me. If I die at some day I would like to be the top number one of the most discussion by people around me.

Actually I will not die because I have not completed my ambition yet. My ambition is hug that no one can imagine. What is that? [That is "I want to change the world and change the way of people live & esp. change people's behavior"]

Check & Change Your e-Visa Status

Have  you ever had an experience to buy items on the internet and pay with Visa/Master card? Visa/Master card is a popular method for people over the world to purchase something online. Sometime you also get some failures during processing as well because of your internet is slow down or your Visa/Master card number is typed wrongly. To resolve this problem you have to re-pay again once you see that your internet connection is enough faster than or Visa/Master card number and its expiry date is correct.

You are required to spell and provide your e-mail address correctly before applying for e-Visa to Cambodia so that e-Visa officers can send e-Visa certificate to  you as soon as possible or else e-Visa certificate will not be sent. 

And in case  you don't get your e-Visa certificate after applied for 3 working days thru your e-mail address so your are recommended to go to "Check & Change" link on e-Visa homepage by filling up  your reference number and e-mail address to download it. [See picture]

Visitors fill hotels in Sihanoukville

Year-end travelers have fully booked Sihanoukville province’s hotels and guesthouses for the first-ever Sea Festival, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors this year, tourism officials said.

Tith Chantha, general director at the Ministry of Tourism, confirmed that all hotel and guesthouse rooms were booked for New Year’s, adding that the Cambodian coast became more popular since joining the Most Beautiful Bays of the World Club in May.

Kuy Sengteang, a receptionist at the Holiday Palace Hotel in the province, said that the hotel’s 81 rooms had been fully booked for about three weeks.

“This year, many [people] called to book the rooms, but our hotel doesn’t have available rooms,” she said.

The Makara and Orchidee Guest Houses in Sihanoukville also reported full capacity from December 24 until January 4.

Seng Kha, deputy director of Sihanoukville province’s Tourism Department, said that of the 4,000 hotel and guesthouse rooms in Preah Sihanouk province, around 1,700 rooms belong to guesthouses and more than 2,000 to hotels.

“I think these numbers cannot accommodate all visitors,” he said.  However, while hotels are booked, he said some small guesthouses in rural areas may still have rooms available.

“We can not assume that all rooms are booked because we also have a lot of hotels and guesthouses in [rural areas],” he said.

The Ministry of Tourism organised the Sea Festival, which starts on December 31, to celebrate Cambodia’s acceptance into the Most Beautiful Bays of the World Club.

Angkor Wat has also seen high tourist numbers as 2011 draws to a close. The number of foreign tourists who visited the park rose by more than 20 per cent through November, according to official figures from the Apsara Authority, the state institution that manages the park.

Ngov Seng Hak, director of Siem Reap province’s Tourism Department, estimates that total numbers may reach 1.5 million foreign visitors by the end of the year.

Ninety-five per cent of international tourists who come to Siem Riep do so to visit the temple complex, he said.

He added that with the sharp growth of tourists, however, the province still lacked services for Vietnamese, Korean and Chinese tourists. Of the 3,400 tourist guides in the country, only 50 speak Vietnamese, he said.

That time I seemed to be a man staying far away from relatives and close friends. They all mostly forgot me already because I had hidden myself quietly in Ounalom pagoda, my activities at that time it was just "go , come back, sit and concentrated on my study only".

Expect to grow up twice next year 2012

The fortune of people is not constantly staying with them, some days it's down and some days it is up so high. The number of tourists come to visit Cambodia always get lower and grow up highly by seasons (low season and high season). The last of few month in 2011, the number of tourists are coming to Cambodia is very high, this is accordance with my observation thru Cambodia e-Visa website survey. Cambodia is becoming a charming country because all the tourist areas are developed and pursuing development one year to one year continuously. Particularly the Ministry of Tourism Cambodia (MoT) has created and joined many events in this year 2011 and Cambodia e-Visa, providing online visa, also participated with them to offer people about online visa information and how to get it on the internet.

Anyway, if back to mention about my life for the last few month in 2011, I got many complaints from everywhere and from many people not only my relatives but even friends, and other people around me they also have not preferred what I'm doing as well. The fortune of my life this year 2011, is really bad and now I don't know where to go and what to do at all besides sitting and drinking beers alone in front of Computer. The will_paginate gem is a great bit of kit for adding pagination to your larger result sets. I recently had some trouble getting will_paginate to paginate an array. Naturally I checked the will_paginate Github page but failed to see a small entry in the wiki here (frankly I’ve never been a huge fan of the wiki on Github).

Next I went on to search “will_paginate array”. This got loads of results, most of which were completely useless as none seemed to specify the most important and only bit of information I needed.

So if you get an error message similar to “undefined method `paginate’ for # ” then try adding the line below to your controller.

Govt eyes visa frauds

OFFICIALS at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are actively trying to shut down three unauthorised websites offering electronic travel visas, a ministry official told the Post Monday.

Koy Kuong, an undersecretary of state at the ministry, said officials are investigating who is behind the sites. When they find this out, he said, they will shut the sites down.

"These websites make trouble and difficulty for the tourists," Koy Kuong said Monday.

The ministry released a statement Saturday identifying the sites as: www.cambodiaonarrival.com, www.cambodiaevisa.com, and www.welovecambodia.com. The statement noted that the only website authorised to issue electronic visas was the ministry's: www.mfaic.gov.kh.

Koy Kuong said the ministry could not provide information on how many tourists had fallen victim to the fraudulent sites.

All three unauthorised websites were still accessible early Monday evening.

22 Jun 2004 10:27 PM Hello All, 1 year Ago we had Merge Replication Between 2 servers.2 months the second server moved to a new building so we lost our connection and because we needed to change the structure of some of the published tables I disabled the merge replication with its wizard but because of no coonection with the second server nothing removed from the subscriber. In subscriber I still have ROWGUID column and when I want to delete it, it doesn't let me to do that and says this table replicated. Now I really need to turn back my database on the second server to the not replicated form. What Should I do. Thanks in advance Nejla

The Cambodia e-Visa

The Cambodia e-Visa is a document that you can apply for, entirely online, if you want to travel to Cambodia with less trouble than usual.

The regular Cambodia tourist and business visas require visitors to line up at a Cambodia embassy or consulate, or get a visa on arrival at the airport. (Read our Cambodia Travel Requirements article for more info.) The Cambodia e-Visa scraps all that; the whole process is done online and concludes in 24 hours or less.

You pay an extra US$5 processing fee, sure, but think of the lines and the sweat getting an e-Visa can save you.

Just ask recent Cambodia visitor Bruno Raymond, who applied for a Cambodia e-Visa to facilitate his travel to Siem Reap via the Poi Pet border crossing. (More info: International Travel into Cambodia.)

"Application was really easy," Bruno emailed us recently. "The only easiest one I can compare with was the Australian one […] the only 'challenge' was to find the right URL as it does not show up that high in Google search results."

The e-Visa lightened his burden considerably, Bruno says: "Online application took about 15 minutes. Approval was received overnight (I heard people got it has fast as 20 minutes)," he explains. "No need to queue to apply for the Visa on the spot."
Applying for a Cambodia e-Visa

If you want to get a Cambodia e-Visa, do as Bruno did: go to the Cambodia e-Visa website (offsite), fill up an online application form, and upload a face shot of yourself (either JPG or PNG format is acceptable).

"Main difference with other applications was that you have to know the port of entry," says Bruno. Luckily, he reminds us, "port of entry and other details can be changed online if needed."

Afterwards, you'll need to pay with a valid credit card or through PayPal. Cambodia e-Visas cost US$25.

The longest a visa application takes is three days, but most applicants get their approved visa applications in their email within 24 hours. While your application is being processed, you may come back to the website to check your status online, or change visa details.

"I got an email confirmation the next morning that my visa was accepted, with detailed instructions," remembers Bruno.
Using Your Cambodia e-Visa

The visa documents will be emailed to you, attached as PDF files. Bruno followed the instructions in the email, printing two copies and presenting them upon arrival in Cambodia. Why two copies? You'll need one each for entering and exiting Cambodia:

Cambodia e-Visas are valid for the same terms as tourist visas - thirty days' maximum stay or 24 hours' minimum stay, valid for 90 days from date of issue. E-Visa holders can enter through the following points of entry:

* Both Cambodia international airports - Phnom Penh International Airport and Siem Reap International Airport
* Two Thailand border crossings: Cham Yeam (Koh Kong) and Poi Pet
* One Vietnam border crossing: Bavet (Svay Rieng)

Air travelers in particular enjoy extra convenience if they use e-Visas to enter Cambodia, thanks to a dedicated immigration counter for e-Visa holders in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports. "It was not the case for arrival at Poi Pet (by land)," Mr. Raymond says.
Limitations of a Cambodia e-Visa

The Cambodia e-Visa is useful only for single entry trips, and can only be extended once. In short, it's a tourist visa that can be procured online; business travelers who need to stay longer or make multiple entries into Cambodia will need to go the usual route to apply for a Cambodia business visa. As noted previously, the Cambodia e-Visa costs US$5 more, with a processing fee of US$5 tacked on to the usual arrival visa fee of US$20. But if it saves you long trips to distant Cambodian embassies, or if it spares you from long queues in the airport, isn't US$5 a tiny price to pay for the added convenience?
